So, what would be the total score? The captain calls subsisto as he runs the robot.

Okay, let's take that scenario. The Captain presses the orange button on the robot, and the robot starts moving. The Captain then immediately calls out SUBSISTO. The Captain at that point DOES NOT have 1 minute to stop the robot - the captain has just ended that team's match. Game Over. Regardless of what the robot does while the referee is waiting for the team to stop their robot (or the referee stops the robot for the team) the state of the field at the point of calling SUBSISTO is preserved. When the Game is Over, you cannot score any more points.

Since at the point of calling SUBSISTO nothing has been done on the field, the Advanced score would be 210 points, and the Intermediate Score would be 370 points. Here's the breakdown:

5.0.1 Initial Score = 400
4.3.1 Remove Depleted Fuel from Tower = 0
4.3.2 Move Active Fuel Rods to Inner Reactors = 0
4.3.3 Clean up Depleted Fuel = 0
4.3.4 Open Source Solution = 25
4.3.5 Move Active Fuel to Cooling Tower = 0
4.3.6 Lend a Helping Hand = 0
4.3.7 Minute to Win It = 25
4.3.8 Field Penalties = (ADVANCED: -240) (INTERMEDIATE: -80)
5.0.4 Touch Penalties = 0

Total Match Score: (ADVANCED: 210) (INTERMEDIATE: 370)

The important thing to note here is that as soon as the word "SUBSISTO" is uttered by the Team Captain, the match is over and no further points may be scored and no further action on the field (beyond what has already been done) may be considered for points that match. The flaw in your logic is that you believe you can say "SUBSISTO" at any time, and your robot keeps running until you stop it; that's incorrect - stopping the robot is merely a formality (and requirement for the end of the match), uttering the word SUBSISTO is what stops the match for your team.

Thanks Danny. Your breakdown was what I was looking for and I did not read the rule properly on use of subsisto in a run. I will be looking forward to the next challenge and will be sure to come here to get my questions answered. I only I wish I had found this message board sooner, it is very informative.
